Getting Ready for Pick-Up Day

We are happy to accept your donations, as it helps The Arc achieve its goal of providing services that allow people who experience developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and/or deafness to lead rich, full, productive lives.

Some items are more useful to us than others. Also, there are some items we cannot accept. Please check the lists below and separate the items we can take from those we cannot. If in doubt, please discuss your questions when you call to schedule your pick-up.

Of course, we cannot accept items that are broken, stained, ripped, or otherwise in need of repair; items that we cannot resell; or illegal items (for example, items made from endangered species).

You can help us by placing clothing and miscellaneous items in sturdy boxes or heavy-duty garbage bags. Please don't overstuff the containers or make them too heavy. Please wrap glassware and other breakables in paper and box them to prevent breakage.

Please do not include items that are ripped, stained, torn, damaged, scratched or otherwise in need of repair (we do not have repair facilities).

Please mark the word "ARC" on all boxes, bags and larger items you are donating so our drivers know what they are to pick up. We WILL NOT pick anything that is not marked "ARC."

Please make sure your properly labeled, boxed, and bagged items are at the curb by 8 AM.

Thank you for taking the time to make sure your pick-up is ready for transport on the appointed day . . . and thank you for helping The Arc make dreams come true for the people we serve. Call 337-6390 to schedule a pick-up.
