Behavioral Health Services
Behavioral Health Services offers comprehensive services to children and adults who experience mental health or substance abuse disorders and/or developmental disabilities.
Our goal is to address the needs of children and adults who are at risk of institutionalization and are working to maintain stability in a community setting.
We provide individually tailored services designed to equip each person we serve with the skills he/she needs to achieve his/her life goals. We use a team approach to ensure individuals are provided with the best care possible. Teams may consist of the individual's natural family and friends, foster parents (if applicable), healthcare providers, employment supervisors, teachers, and providers from other community agencies.
The treatment team uses a collaborative process to identify needs and strategies that build on the individual's strengths. Services are delivered in community settings whenever possible to enhance the individual's ability to practice appropriate behavior in real situations.
Services may include:
- Community-based living (therapeutic foster care, assisted living homes)
- Mental health assessments
- Case management
- Life skills development (one-on-one, in small groups, or in the family setting)
- Outpatient mental health counseling
- Psychiatric services
